The game of bowls does not only bring together a group of people looking for
some fresh air and good company combined with the will to win but also, a certain element
of humour. Were it not for this thread of humour that results from a strange group of
people with strange peculiarities, some players may 'completely lose it' on the green!

The role of the skipper is not
an easy one - although it often seems to be when standing up on the bank.
REMEMBER A team consists of three skips and one idiot. The idiot just happens to be the
one standing up at the head.
